Meet Peter

Peter grew up in Western Massachusetts and comes from a long line of teachers and military members. Rodgers has dedicated his life to service. After attending the U.S. Naval Academy, he spent 21 years as a submarine officer, living in duty stations in seven states and finishing his military career at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport. Together with his wife and two children, Peter has volunteered with Operation Stand Down, RI, to help veterans in need. He was honored to lay the memorial wreath in memory of fallen heroes at the East Greenwich Town Hall, as part of the East Greenwich Veteran’s Day Parade. Peter has donated his time to cleaning up East Greenwich’s historic cemeteries, helping with the 2021 Homecoming Dance alternative, and coaching flag football. He has also assisted Sudanese refugees with resettlement by doing their taxes as part of the Outreach Africa Program. As a nine-year resident of East Greenwich, he views joining our Town Council as another means by which he can serve the community.

Peter is endorsed by the East Greenwich Republican Town Committee.
